helpful reference to understand that trick?

Yeah, I saw a magic trick where one lady leaves the room (the picker), and then out of 5 symbols displayed in no special order, someone else picks one random symbol. The picker then enters the room and is able to pick the symbol. Then the correct one, the picker can guess it. I puzzled then. I really don't understand. Have you got some helpful reference to understand that trick?

Not sure what you're talking about but they may cheat and have a hidden camera that the picker can look at to see what symbol is picked inside the room. Then they just put on an act and eventually choose the right one.

Unless you can see the person walking out the room at all times to make sure he/she isn't cheating. I don't know.

Being a magician myself, I'm not allowed to reveal the trick due to the oath.
But let me tell you, it's so simple that you would kill me if I revealed it. No cameras, no mirrors, just a good understanding between two humans.
