medical marijuana is too weird, they can still get busted by the feds, but its legal by their state laws, its just very confusing.

japan's painkillers all use opium, its pretty strange cause all that stuff is prescription only back stateside. kinda sucks cause i cant do anything about a headache i get when im out in town without the chance of losing my job, and the chance of ever getting scholarships, a job that requires a background check or a bunch of other good stuff.

i can just shop on base, i was saying if i was out in the town, and for some reason needed painkillers i would be SOL

Federal laws trump state laws, thus if something is legal on a local or state level, but illegal on a national level the federal laws still apply. Thus someone using medical marijuana, even if it is legal on a more local then the federal government, can get "busted by the feds".

Simple, no?

Look people will get high to escape reality whether or not the drug is legal, all making it illegal does is put people in prison that could be out in the labor force, you know.... building things.... like ..... buildings... which require.... workers!

Having some drugs (such as Marijuana) legalized means the government can TAX them, making the problem go down because less people can afford to abuse them.

They are legal in the Netherlands, or at least the soft drugs. There's hardly any problem, people just go to the coffeeshops, have a joint and go home. Works perfectly fine.
